Greening of the LBIF
We are going green at the LBIF, from cleaning products to energy sources.
This winter the senior students of the Marine Academy for Science and Environmental Technology (MATES) studied the LBI Foundation of the Arts and Sciences to develop the Green Plan. They presented their finding at a special session on June 14 (SandPaper Coverage). The science committee will use their findings to prioritize and organize a "Green Master Plan."
Alternative Energy Demo
There is solar, geothermal, and wind. The LBIF SC will explore them all, but will start with wind. How big is a wind turbine? How much noise does it make? How could you mount one and stay within the zoning requirements? How much energy would it really produce? The only way to answer those questions is to set one up.

RCTB has reached more than 250 students at Oakcrest HS in Galloway Twp (working with the OCHS Science Club) and about 260 students at Pineland JR HS in Tuckerton.
